The latest update to
, the PC VR survival game Bootstrap Island has introduced the largest biome ever with its Riverlands update. The
update introduced a vast, untamed biome that was larger than any previous area combined. It also included steep terrains and deadly fauna. Electric eels, a “stealthy” “alligator like” predator who ambushes from riverbanks are among the new local threats. Other changes include tropical fruits and an arrow sling. The fish can also be consumed alive. More presentation updates have been released, including new music and “advanced graphic options.” Visions is the fifth major update, and it will introduce new psychological effects such as hallucinations or flashbacks. After that, the full release will feature tribal residents who communicate using body language in lieu of common spoken languages.
