The AI tools that Banter uses to generate objects from speech

Elin Hohler, a SideQuest Banter developer, spent the weekend putting together a demo that shows a speech-to-3D pipeline. The pipeline is a three step process, which begins with the conversion of speech into text and then produces an image based on the text. Finally, the 3D model can be placed directly in the multiplayer space. Shane Harris, founder of SideQuest said that the technology was “perfect for our zany platform”. I think that our users will enjoy using this to decorate their homes, make props and some have even used it to create clothing for their avatars. Our video below explains the toolset in more detail, recorded using my Quest 3. Hohler believes that future models will produce sharper, better optimized assets. But “playing with Trellis” is like getting a taste of what’s to come. “
