Bosworth apologized publicly to Palmer Luckey for comments he had made about being fired by Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth earlier this year. Amanda Watson also gave her opinion, as she was present at the event and supported Carmack, Luckey, and Bosworth. Bosworth, who was called out for his comments, eventually resorted to saying that there are “limits” on what is allowed in public. Here’s Bosworth’s full statement:
“I’m glad you came by to check out Orion. Although I apologized in person for any previous remarks I made about you at Oculus (then), I wanted to do so publicly as well. I’m sorry. Following the Tablet article, I looked into the past events when the group was run by people no longer with the company. The truth is that I misunderstood the situation, but this does not excuse me from saying anything. I didn’t know what I was talking about and I shouldn’t have. You have had a positive impact on the development of VR and the business. We look forward to sharing more with you in the near future. “

Over the weekend, John Carmack and Palmer Luckey publicly argued with Meta’s CTO about Luckey’s 2017 firing.
