Superhot VR Set Inside Blockbuster Films

Here are our full impressions. Here are our full impressions.

We’ve seen several variations across the years where in-game time moves slowly until you move, and I’d argue it’s a gameplay mechanic naturally suited for VR’s motion controls.

hit the ground running back in 2016, the upcoming Superhot VR seeks to invert this premise and now we have COLD VR by Fast Travel Games (Action Hero, Mannequin), which makes you the protagonist of five different action movies.Vampire: The Masquerade – JusticeFollowing its recent reveal during the

, I went hands-on with the Adventure movie at Gamescom using a VR Games Showcase. The Adventure movie is divided into four sections that are like checkpoints. Each section contains five scenes without artificial movement. While I didn’t get the chance to experience additional movies, those will each cover unique genres.Quest 3Already, Action Hero feels like one of those games newcomers can quickly jump into while offering an intense thrill for VR veterans. Slow-motion allows you to search for weapons and carefully plan your attack. You’ll have plenty of options, even without ammo, with pistols and shotguns that can be spread out, or wrenches to throw at your enemies. Take the shot at a foe who is nearby? You grab the weapon from the henchman and fire the explosive barrel that is conveniently located near your attackers. You can either wait until the dinosaurs attack and a huge boulder crashes through to see what happens. If you are attacked, you will have to reshoot the whole act. If I’m killed, I feel nothing but motivation to continue. If I have to bankrupt the studio with multiple reshoots and expensive special effects, that’s what I will do. They should have thought about this when they hired me. Action Hero isn’t revolutionary in the way it handles these scenes, and I would not call that refreshing. However, this premise being put into an action movie with a fun tone, was rather refreshing. Slow-motion allows you to take in your environment while still demanding quick reflexes. Dodging bullets is also satisfying. The game was very engaging. While the action scenes are great and each scene challenging, the enemy types in the Adventure movie seem to be very similar. Action Hero was one of my favorites at Gamescom. I don’t make these claims lightly, but it’s a great VR action game. Fast Travel’s VR action game looks to be a great VR parody of 1980s action movies.
