Before we begin, it’s worth noting what Quest 3 includes out of the box. Every headset comes with a standard black facial interface, two Touch Plus controllers with two AA batteries already inserted, a 1m Type-C charging cable and a Type-C charging plug socket adapter.
Previously, we rounded up the Quest 3 accessories available at launch but we’ve since gone hands-on with different options and are confident in providing our recommendations. Expect more accessories from third parties, including some that are part of the “Quest 3” program. As more options become available, we will revisit the list.

KIWI Design Comfort Head Strap
Different head shapes mean the standard default strap won’t be the best option for many people. Meta, just like Quest 2, has released an ‘Elite Strap.’ It is a more durable strap with a tightening wheel. The Elite Strap is more comfortable for long sessions. However, our
noted that the default Strap was sufficient for an hour’s use. While the Elite Strap may be more comfortable, it doesn’t mean that the Elite Strap should always be chosen. Its lower position compared with the default strap can cause longer hair to bunch around your ears. The
is slightly more comfortable, and has a similar quality build, but it’s easier for you to attach the rear headrest. The Quest 3 review was also a good alternative, despite its slightly inferior build quality. Presently, we’ve yet to try the

KIWI Comfort Battery Strap 3Quest 2 Elite StrapsWith a Quest 3 battery that lasts between 2 and 3 hours, depending on how you use it, the option of a headband with an integrated battery may be more appealing than a standard Elite strap. We’ve tested Meta’s official head strap since launch and found that retrofit kit provided 90-120 extra minutes. It’s also very expensive at $130, and it only has 2300mAh of capacity. It’s a great deal cheaper at $80 and nearly doubles your battery life to 6400mAh. For a portable standalone headset, chances are you’ll want a Quest 3 carrying case to take your new headset on the go or simply keep it safe at home. It’s a good option but it is also expensive. We recommend the KIWI Design SPC Battery Head Strap because it fits comfortably even with a head strap from a third party. The
is a solid shell, but it doesn’t fit your headset as well. The Meta official Quest 3 dock comes equipped with rechargeable Touch Plus controller batteries. Our M3 Pro praised it for “its impressive design and convenience” but considered it hard to justify the high asking price of $130 unless you plan on using your Quest 3 regularly.Annapro Battery Head StrapThe

Apexinno VR Silicone Face Pad Cover For Quest 3Annapro Carrying Case for Quest 3For anyone buying Quest 3 with fitness in mind, you should consider picking up a silicone face cover. The standard cover is still comfortable. It’s made from cloth, which will quickly absorb sweat. The silicone covers make it easier to clean your headset, but the official Meta option costs $40. We recommend the
for $9.99. It does exactly what you need and is comfortable. The microfiber bags is also a good option, as it comes with controller grips. The Aukiba’s Quest 3 case is still a mystery to us. Cheaper alternatives like review offer lenses from $25 onwards, though additions like anti-glare cost extra. The
offers prescription and protective lenses with similar features and prisms for double vision. Zenni has a great option. They are a good option, and they click into place easily. If you choose prescription lenses then your glasses won’t be scratched by the Quest 3 lens. We also recommend RGB Vertical Charging Stand to keep them clean. We’d also suggest buy them separately for keeping them clean.

While we’ve aimed to make this list as comprehensive as possible, there are a few types of Quest 3 accessories that come down to personal preference. Meta’s orange Quest 3 shell cover is not better than blue, nor can we say that Meta’s Quest 3’s facial strap in blue works better. The Touch Plus controllers for Quest 3 include a basic strap as standard, letting you securely place them around your wrists so they don’t go flying. It’s effective but not exciting. That’s almost half the price of the Quest 3 headset. These colors are currently not available on the Elite Straps, so you will have to make a compromise if you want your headset to be brighter. Other than cloth covers, VR Cover sells shell covers for the Quest 3 headset. Third-party manufacturers also make face covers. They are available in colors to match the facial interfaces. So far, we’ve only seen a handful and we haven’t tried any of these directly.
