Ray-Ban Meta Glasses Available In India And Mexico

Ray Ban Meta glasses are available now in India, Mexico, & the UAE. Meta’s biggest hardware expansion to date. Meta AI is now available in all countries where smart glasses are sold. What Are Ray-Ban Meta Glasses? Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses have speakers, microphones and a camera. The glasses are not equipped with a screen.

You can use them to take photos and videos, listen to music/podcasts/audiobooks, make and receive calls, share your first-person view on WhatsApp and Messenger video calls, and query Meta AI, the company’s LLM-based assistant that can see via the camera when you ask about something in view. It will read out any phone notifications you have if that’s what you prefer. Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses come in three styles, including Headliner (Wayfarer), Skyler, and Headliner (Header). These styles feature four lens types: Clear, Sun Polarized, Transitions and Polarized. Both the frames and lenses are available in different colors. The white LED will flash on the front of your glasses whenever the camera is active, whether it’s for Meta AI or to capture images. The expansion of Meta’s and EssilorLuxottica’s smart glasses into India, Mexico and the UAE, on paper, almost triples market reach. This is largely due to the huge population of India. The Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses are priced around 30,000 rupees (approximately the average Indian salary), but India is still one of the world’s poorest countries. Meta and EssilorLuxottica may be targeting a growing Indian middle class, but the majority of Indians will not buy smart glasses in the near future. Mexico has a higher per capita income than India but less than 10% of its population. The UAE is even wealthier, with less that 1%. EssilorLuxottica is the world’s largest eyewear company, and has stores all over the globe. It can take advantage of this to let potential buyers try the smart glasses. Meta and EssilorLuxottica plan to release
