The removal of this app was first announced in a user email sent last year. The email said: “
We’re getting in touch to tell you that Meta Quest Scoreboards won’t be available on Quest after 20 December 2024.” This discontinuation will not impact other achievements or scoreboards integrated in your Quest user profile. You will still be able to keep track of your scores and achievements through these existing features.
Further, the
for Quest achievements describes the feature as “currently unsupported”, “pending future updates”.
Achievements still exist, to be clear, and you still get a notification when unlocking one. But after dismissing that notification, there’s no way inside the headset to find your past achievements, despite the email’s claim of achievements still being accessible in “your user profile and other surfaces on Quest”.developer documentationUploadVR has heard from scores of Quest owners and developers unhappy about the removal, and they want to know why it happened.

It is still possible to see your achievements in the Meta Horizon smartphone app, on your social profile, but this is just a chronological list. The app does not show how many achievements remain to be unlocked in any given game or group them according to game. If we receive a reply, we’ll update the article.
