Skydance’s Behemoth received its latest patch on all platforms, addressing what the studio considers a “controversial” reception to its combat.
Available now on Quest, PS VR2 and PC VR, fantasy action-adventure game Skydance’s Behemoth received its latest major update as initially promised before last week’s launch. Skydance Games has released a patch that includes over 1,000 Quest fixes, as well as a raft of other changes for all platforms. This update is aimed at address combat’s negative reception. We won’t change the combat system because it is loved by many. We also received feedback from frustrated players about things such as stamina drains, parrying difficulties, and small windows to dodge attacks. We’ve re-tuned the game to be more forgiving with stamina and parrying. Skydance Games’ Statement
This version includes an optional ‘Freestyle Mode, which further reduces combat-stamina drain. Climbing stamina is unaffected. Skydance says that it is still in beta testing and therefore marked “beta”. There are also improvements made to the two-handed weapon, as well as balancing mini bosses.
