Synth Riders has a new interface. The
is based off of this redesign, and therefore is unaffected. However, the update for today is live across all active platforms: Quest, Steam PS VR2, Pico. Kluge Interactive’s Apple Vision Pro version new interface is intended to make it “easier to find Challenges and your friends as well as the songs that you wish to play”. Speaking to UploadVR at
, Kluge Interactive CEO Arturo Perez told us more. Perez confirms that the UI update is a result of all the updates Synth Riders received over the years. He told me many players “didn’t know what they were doing” at the beginning. “We are in our 6th year, and looking back at the past five years, you’ll see that there were a lot more innovations, with new content. But it became unwieldy. Previously, we were prioritizing new hardware like the Apple Vision Pro or PS VR2, or new modes. But now, it seems that there are too many choices. “The feedback is pretty constant. “Gamescom 2024Perez also clarified that this doesn’t mean Synth Riders will stop expanding to new headsets when they become available.
“That new userbase is growing, new headsets are coming that we’re also responding to. Apple’s strategy is long-term, but they still have a lot of players to reach. We’re also getting ready to welcome Google. “
