Band Space Could be a new take on Rock Band VR

Here are our demo impressions. Here are our demo impressions.

While

already exists, Band Space clearly wants to carve itself out as a similar type of rhythm game. You can rock out to a variety of songs using the Rock Band VR. This includes playing drums or keyboards. You can select one of the four avatars after you have chosen your calibration options. It’s not something you’ll be seeing, but the avatar is a nice addition, especially since multiplayer will be the focus. You must hit the drums as soon as they appear. The purple versions require a stronger hit. You must press down in specific positions on the keyboard. With the bass, you use one hand to strumming and the other hand to moving along the neck. Finally, playing guitar is like the bass, the main difference being that it uses the grip and trigger button, alongside moving your arm along the neck.demohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvkj_RpkPKc

There’s a great concept with each instrument. As someone who has a basic understanding of how to use the equivalent in real life, I find the keyboard almost unplayable. The drumstick would go right through the drum when I tried to play certain notes. This is bad enough in any rhythm game. But in VR it’s even worse, because your arms are moving around. This is especially true if your friends are willing to join you in a jam session or you’re not afraid of dipping into the pool of online random musicians. The songs were catchy and I liked the way they looked, despite not knowing any of them. As far as demos are concerned, Band Space is a good example of what the site has to offer. The full version would need more songs, and I’d want to test the drums. The main game will not be fun if the detection is the same.
