Zenith’s developers, Ramen VR, have announced that they will no longer be developing the massively multi-player online VR role-playing game. In a YouTube Q&A, they assured players that “we would keep Zenith The Last City, and Zenith Infinite Realms, running indefinitely,” adding that “the community” would know well ahead of time if this changed. The developers of Zenith
decided that the game wasn’t profitable, and changed to a Free-to-Play model using an in-game money called “zennies.” Devs say that “valuable gift” will be offered as a replacement for refunds of the in-game currency in future titles. The development update for July 12, which recaps five years of development, said that they expected a steep drop in players after the new game’s release. Ramen plans to fix bugs, and to “run Zenith as long as possible and we have no immediate intention to shut down the servers.” “
