Demos of Apple Vision Pro in Apple Stores now use the Dual Loop Band, effectively an admission that the Solo Knit Band isn’t comfortable enough.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported the change in advance last week, and multiple people who say they had a Vision Pro demo in recent days have confirmed it to UploadVR. Apple has also released official images of the China, Japan, and Singapore launch, and in them everyone uses the Dual Loop Band. Apple has used the Solo Knit Band in many of their marketing images. In myself included of Apple Vision Pro I speculated that the Solo Knit Band exists more for aesthetic marketing shots of its elegant design than actually supporting the headset’s weight. Apple is essentially admitting or acknowledging that it has received feedback loudly from its customers. Apple engineers and designers are said to be taking this feedback into consideration when designing future Vision headsets. Weight and comfort is a top priority for Apple.
