The Subside demo delivers breathtaking swimming visuals on SteamVR

Graphics in virtual reality can be controversial. Even though standalone headsets can only do so much, consoles and computers are costly. The A2D demo is currently available for download on Steam, with the full version listed as “coming shortly”. You can reach forward and stretch your arms to explore a vibrant world beneath the turbulent waters. Subside is a visually stunning experience as schools of fish swim through the clear water in fluid motion. Sunbeams create shafts of sunlight that filter into the water. A2D’s swimming mechanism feels intuitive, and more importantly, real. Subside’s demo offers an underwater experience that is both satisfying and immersive. We’re definitely interested in Subside now. If you own a VR headset and PC, we suggest giving it a try.
